INDIANAPOLIS – As the clock ticked toward a drop-dead fiscal deadline of June 30, 2009 and a possible statewide shutdown, representatives and state senators in the Indiana General Assembly bloodied each other while trying to find a compromise that would produce a balanced, two-year state budget.
